Company History

Early American Candle was founded in Wescosville, Pa. by Elmer M. and Dorothy B. Byrnes in 1962.  Elmer had retired from Bethlehem Steel and at that time decided to pursue a business in candle making.  The business grew during the  years when candle sales where strong.  In 1992, manufacturing was purchased  by his  son John and his wife, Susan and was  moved to Pittsburgh, PA.   The current business  is not only Manufacturing , but grew to include a Retail  Store and Candle Supply business  at the same location.  Early American Candle also provides services in private labeling, fundraisers and church candles .  We are distributers for Libbey Glass, IGI waxes, Anchor Hocking Glass, Fil-Tec wick, Glue Dots International and Cargill Nature Wax.
